EDS2008 Downloads

The PDF version of the manuals for EDS2008 1.0 can be downloaded by doing the following:

• Download eds2008_Manuals.zip. 
• The password for the manuals is the same as for the software.  Please contact iXRF to get the password.
• You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view or print these files.  You can download a free copy of this from http://www.adobe.com.  If you have a software CD from iXRF for the , the Adobe Acrobat reader is on that CD.

EDS2008 Software

Notes

• After installation of EDS2008, please read the documents "New Features in EDS2008" and "EDS2008 Release Notes."   For compatibility with Vista, some basic changes have been made in the organization of the software.
• EDS2008 is targeted at Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows/2000 only.  
• You will need the password for EDS2008.   Please contact iXRF to get the password.

First-Time Installation of EDS2008

Please follow the steps below when installing EDS2008 for the first time on a system

1. Un-install all other IXRF software, except EDS2006 Support Files.
2. Install EDS2006Support, if not already installed. (See below)
3. For installation on Windows/2000, it is necessary to update a system DLL file.  Please download this zip file and follow the instructions to update the file.
4. Install EDS2008. (See below)

Installing EDS2006 Support

It is only necessary to install EDS2006 Support Files once on a system.  This package installs additional Windows libraries that are necessary for the operation of EDS2008.  To install EDS2006 Support Files:

1. Download eds2006SupportFiles.exe.
2. From the Windows Explorer, double-click on the file EDS2006SupportFiles.exe to start the installation.
   • When asked whether to install the "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0" click Yes.
   • You may get an error message titled "MDAC 2.8 RTM."  Click Cancel in the panel displayed to continue the installation.   This message indicates that a newer version of MDAC is already installed on the computer.
3. Restart the computer after the installation, when instructed.

Installing EDS2008 Version 1.0 Rev E-4 (July 10, 2008)

• Download eds2008_1_0E-4.exe.       
• From the Windows Explorer, double-click on the file EDS2008_1_0E-4.exe to start the installation.

Installing EDS2008 Version 1.0 Rev E-3 (July 8, 2008)

• Download eds2008_1_0E-3.exe.       
• From the Windows Explorer, double-click on the file EDS2008_1_0E-3.exe to start the installation.

Installing EDS2008 Version 1.0 Rev E-2 (June 16, 2008)

• Download eds2008_1_0E-2.exe.       
• From the Windows Explorer, double-click on the file EDS2008_1_0E-2.exe to start the installation.
