Q: What type of EDS detectors does IXRF offer?
A: IXRF offers a multitude of different detectors. We have a detector to meet your budget, in either
LN² or Silicon Drift Detectors (SDD). You may choose from several different guaranteed resolutions.

Q: I am interested in an upgrade. Can I use my existing EDS detector?
A: Yes, in fact IXRF has yet to come across a detector that we could not interface to.
In many cases light element sensitivity is increased due to our digital pulse processing electronics.

Q: When I upgrade my IXRF software, what needs to be done?
A: Simply download the latest version and install it. 

Q: Once I upgrade with IXRF, who supports my detector?
A: IXRF does. IXRF has full capabilities for window, crystal, FET, and rebuild. You will be in good hands.

Q: Once I buy an IXRF system and later decide to change SEMs, can the IXRF system be adapted to a different SEM?
A: Yes, the only restriction is the detector. The detector must be fitted to the new SEM.
