VFD-21S is equipment for drying high water content biological specimen for Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) as close as natural state without deterioration of surface ultra structure. The water in the specimen was replaced by t-butanol under vacuum condition. This new concept of drying technique would replace conventional Critical Point Drying (CPD) method. And the main advantages include simple operation, low-cost and safety.

  1. Electronic temperature controlling method: Temperature setting ranges from 0°C to 40°C
  2. Rapid adjustments of temperature: 10 minutes for adjustment from 40°C to 5°C, dehydration and substitution time shortened
  3. To fix, dehydrate, substitute through an auxiliary sample stage, convenient for the small size specimen
  4. Safe and non-polluted process, special mechanical pump oil which does not react with t-butanol
