The Iridium Ultra software was originally developed from the viewpoint of scanning electron microscopists to make it not only powerfully useful but intuitive to navigate.  New features based on user feedback are continually added to the platform to make it the most advanced microanalysis software available. What will be covered in the Iridium Ultra software demo:

  • Advanced spectral processing tools including escape/sum peak identification and removal, variable background removal

Mandi has been with IXRF Systems for over eight years beginning as an applications scientist (as it is with the science that her true passion lies). Her love of elemental analysis was ignited in graduate school when she first used a scanning electron microscope. To her delight, that SEM was not only augmented with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) but also a micro-EDS X-ray fluorescence (micro-EDXRF) source from IXRF. Those microanalysis tools were the primary instruments used to achieve her graduate thesis and were her introduction to IXRF. Mandi loves working directly with customers to understand their application needs and how to apply IXRF tools to answer their microanalysis questions.
